COVID-19 Update:  To help with the current rate of COVID-19 infections, the Commodores will be requiring that all members and guests must be masked at all times during our rehearsals at Mayflower church.  This mask mandate will stay in affect until the current infection rate is at a level that will allow mask-free rehearsals.  Stay safe and healthy and keep singing!

Harold is the reason I sing Barbershop.

In 1975, I needed a choir director for our church choir. I was given Harold’s name.  Harold was already directing the Commodores at the time.

Harold was a very talented director and I was happy singing under his leadership at the church.  In early 1976, he invited me to the Commodore’s annual show where I found out he was the director. With great seats (also at the director’s table at the afterglow), I enjoyed the reigning International Champs, Happiness Emporium. And, the Roadrunners along with other great quartets. I was hooked!!

Harold coached my first quartet, Minnesota Jubilee, and was a great friend.
