Harold is the reason I sing Barbershop.
In 1975, I needed a choir director for our church choir. I was given Harold’s name. Harold was already directing the Commodores at the time.
Harold was a very talented director and I was happy singing under his leadership at the church. In early 1976, he invited me to the Commodore’s annual show where I found out he was the director. With great seats (also at the director’s table at the afterglow), I enjoyed the reigning International Champs, Happiness Emporium. And, the Roadrunners along with other great quartets. I was hooked!!
Harold coached my first quartet, Minnesota Jubilee, and was a great friend.
